DeWaal Wines evening
Wednesday 30th March
A la Bouffe has the pleasure to host De Waal Wines for a wonderful meal and wine tasting evening prepared and hosted by Romuald Denesle, Chef Patron of A la Bouffe, on Wednesday 30 March 2016.
With a rich history of winemaking spanning 9 generations, the De Waal family are pioneers of Pinotage, with CT De Waal being the first winemaker to produce wine from a Pinotage cultivar in 1941. Carrying on in this tradition, De Waal makes their Pinotage from 65-year-old bush vines, the oldest Pinotage vineyard in the world.
The wine estate is situated on the Uiterwyk Estate in Stellenbosch’s Kloof Valley and produces a wide range of varieties from Cabernet Sauvignon, Chenin Blanc, Merlot and Pinotage.
